Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In March 2023, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Krokom (+8.9 %), of which 4,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (168 nights).

1,000 rooms (+78.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 250 rooms (-25.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 11,900 registered bed nights (+9.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 860 (-1.3 %) for foreigners in Krokom, in total 12,800 (+8.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Krokom out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 3.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Krokom, length of stay in March was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Krokom on average 3.2 nights (-29.4 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-33.1 %).

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.3 percent were domestic, and 9.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Krokom on average 3.2 nights (-0.42) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.34).
