Registered bed nights increased 57 percent
In May 2022, 81,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+57.2 %), of which 64,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 16,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 78 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 57 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (7,900 nights).
16,100 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 25,100 rooms by business visitors.
Between January and May, 201,000 registered bed nights (+63.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 32,500 (+56.1 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 234,000 (+62.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
