Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In March 2018, 49,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+12.3 %), of which 40,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 92 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's March.

9,500 rooms (+13.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 19,200 rooms (-10.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 111,000 registered bed nights (+0.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,500 (+41.1 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 130,000 (+5.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.7 million registered bed nights (+12.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.7 million nights (+7.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.0 million nights (+32.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+5.0 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.7 nights (+5.4 %) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+1.5 %).

26,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.2 percent were domestic, and 8.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.7 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+1.0).
