Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In April 2018, 53,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+2.5 %), of which 41,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (5,000 nights).

8,800 rooms (+7.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 20,400 rooms (+14.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 152,000 registered bed nights (+1.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,900 (+23.8 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 184,000 (+4.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+0.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+1.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 878,000 nights (-2.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in April was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-4.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.7 nights (+3.9 %) and foreigners 4.6 nights (-7.0 %).

27,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.1 percent were domestic, and 9.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.7 nights (0.0) and foreigners 4.6 nights (-0.77).
