Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In October 2018, 64,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+4.4 %), of which 46,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (6,600 nights).

13,100 rooms (+56.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 21,500 rooms (-7.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 512,000 registered bed nights (-1.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 398,000 (+5.2 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 910,000 (+1.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+6.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+5.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 956,000 nights (+9.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 1.8 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in October was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (+1.0 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.6 nights (+0.8 %) and foreigners 5.5 nights (-5.1 %).

32,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.9 percent were domestic, and 10.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.6 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 5.5 nights (+0.06).
