Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In February 2019, 41,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+4.4 %), of which 34,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's February.

9,000 rooms (+16.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 18,500 rooms (+1.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 69,100 registered bed nights (-1.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,100 (+24.7 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 82,300 (+2.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.3 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (+3.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 954,000 nights (+0.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in February was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-1.2 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.7 nights (-1.4 %) and foreigners 3.4 nights (+16.5 %).

22,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.4 percent were domestic, and 9.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.7 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 3.4 nights (+0.34).
