Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In April 2019, 60,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+12.8 %), of which 45,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 15,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (6,500 nights).

11,300 rooms (+28.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 19,600 rooms (-3.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 154,000 registered bed nights (+1.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,600 (+8.3 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 188,000 (+2.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 4.3 million registered bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (+4.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 953,000 nights (+8.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in April was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+1.4 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.8 nights (-1.2 %) and foreigners 4.7 nights (-0.4 %).

29,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.0 percent were domestic, and 11.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.8 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 4.7 nights (+0.14).
