Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In June 2019, 119,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+12.2 %), of which 58,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 61,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (38,800 nights).

17,400 rooms (+40.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 15,000 rooms (-12.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 266,000 registered bed nights (+0.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 123,000 (+11.4 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 389,000 (+3.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.7 percent

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.7 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 2.9 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in June was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.9 nights (-1.1 %) and foreigners 3.6 nights (-3.0 %).

47,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 64.2 percent were domestic, and 35.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.9 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 3.6 nights (+0.18).
