Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased six percent

In July 2019, 234,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (+6.3 %), of which 82,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 151,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's July.

25,000 rooms (+29.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 12,200 rooms (+1.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 349,000 registered bed nights (+0.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 275,000 (+10.2 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 624,000 (+4.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.7 percent

Total of 13.5 million registered bed nights (+5.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 9.3 million nights (+4.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 4.2 million nights (+5.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.7 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 3.6 %.

Length of stay was 2.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in July was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+0.3 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.9 nights (-1.1 %) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-3.4 %).

81,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 53.7 percent were domestic, and 46.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 1.9 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-0.15).
