52,900 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 52,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Kronoberg County (-55.7 %), of which 40,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 80 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 56 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (7,100 nights).

7,500 rooms (-56.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,600 rooms (-42.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 174,000 registered bed nights (-34.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,000 (-71.7 %) for foreigners in Kronoberg County, in total 209,000 (-46.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 259,000 nights (-87.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kronoberg County out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 4.7 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Kronoberg County, length of stay in June was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+13.0 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 2.2 nights (+6.3 %) and foreigners 5.2 nights (+6.6 %).

20,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 56 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.6 percent were domestic, and 11.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kronoberg County on average 2.2 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 5.2 nights (+1.6).
