13,600 registered bed nights

In September 2019, 13,600 bed nights were recorded in Kungälv (-0.8 %), of which 11,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, bed nights decreased one percent from last year's September.

6,300 rooms (+7.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (-5.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 119,000 bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 33,000 (+16.4 %) for foreigners in Kungälv, in total 152,000 (+4.1 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungälv out of total bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

8,000 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 82.2 percent were domestic, and 17.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungälv on average 1.7 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.21).
