Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In September 2021, 14,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungälv (+30.8 %), of which 12,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 186 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (530 nights).

6,800 rooms (+35.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+37.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 112,000 registered bed nights (+17.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,500 (+81.7 %) for foreigners in Kungälv, in total 124,000 (+21.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungälv out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

9,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.3 percent were domestic, and 10.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungälv on average 1.6 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.08).
