11,100 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 11,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungälv (-18.3 %), of which 10,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 580 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 18 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (199 nights).

5,000 rooms (-20.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (-25.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 95,800 registered bed nights (-19.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (-80.8 %) for foreigners in Kungälv, in total 102,000 (-32.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungälv out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

6,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungälv on average 1.7 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.03).
