13,000 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 13,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungälv (-39.0 %), of which 12,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 920 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 82 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 39 percent from last year's June.

4,800 rooms (-28.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-60.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 37,200 registered bed nights (-37.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (-75.6 %) for foreigners in Kungälv, in total 40,000 (-43.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungälv out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

6,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.2 percent were domestic, and 6.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungälv on average 2.0 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.13).
