Paid bed nights

13,700 registered bed nights

In September 2018, 13,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungälv (-5.6 %), of which 12,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (830 nights).

5,800 rooms (-6.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (-15.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 118,000 registered bed nights (+0.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 28,400 (-0.9 %) for foreigners in Kungälv, in total 146,000 (+0.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (-1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (+2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungälv out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Kungälv, length of stay in September was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungälv on average 1.9 nights (+6.5 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-4.9 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.6 percent were domestic, and 8.4 percent were from foreign countries.
