Registered bed nights increased 39 percent

In May 2022, 20,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungsbacka (+38.8 %), of which 18,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 930 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 39 percent from last year's May.

3,500 rooms (+42.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,500 rooms (+185.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 40,900 registered bed nights (+39.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,800 (+590.3 %) for foreigners in Kungsbacka, in total 45,700 (+51.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungsbacka out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

10,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.8 percent were domestic, and 14.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungsbacka on average 2.0 nights (-0.34) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.42).
