Registered bed nights increased four percent

In September 2019, 8,800 bed nights were recorded in Kungsbacka (+4.3 %), of which 7,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 940 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased two percent and foreign bed nights increased 26 percent. In total, bed nights increased four percent from last year's September.

2,900 rooms (+64.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (-6.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 152,000 bed nights (+2.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,800 (-3.4 %) for foreigners in Kungsbacka, in total 173,000 (+1.6 %) nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungsbacka out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,700 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 89.9 percent were domestic, and 10.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungsbacka on average 1.5 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.0).
