Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 16 percent

In October 2019, 8,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungsbacka (+15.6 %), of which 7,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 690 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's October.

2,700 rooms (+31.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (-7.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 159,000 registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,500 (-2.5 %) for foreigners in Kungsbacka, in total 181,000 (+2.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Kungsbacka, length of stay in October was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-0.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungsbacka on average 1.7 nights (+0.4 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-12.9 %).

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.9 percent were domestic, and 6.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungsbacka on average 1.7 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.49).
