Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 125 percent

In December 2021, 5,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Kungsbacka (+125.1 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 120 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 125 percent from last year's December.

1,600 rooms (+67.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+270.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 153,000 registered bed nights (+19.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,800 (+124.0 %) for foreigners in Kungsbacka, in total 163,000 (+22.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kungsbacka out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Kungsbacka, length of stay in December was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-24.9 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kungsbacka on average 1.6 nights (+46.9 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+67.5 %).

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 151 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.9 percent were domestic, and 4.1 percent were from foreign countries.
