In October 2020, 32,400 bed nights were recorded in Kuopio (-13.5 %), of which 31,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 620 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 11 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's October.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (197 nights).

Between January and October, 346,000 bed nights (-18.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,500 (-61.3 %) for foreigners in Kuopio, in total 366,000 (-22.9 %) nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kuopio on average 1.8 nights (+0.25) and foreigners 4.3 nights (+2.2).

Total accommodation sales in October were 2.4 million euro (-511,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 4.6 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 1.7 million euro (-704,000) and non-registered sales 113,000 euro (-20,600).
Total January-October sales were 26.3 million euro and they decreased 5.7 million euro from the previous year.
