In November 2020, 19,700 bed nights were recorded in Kuopio (-40.5 %), of which 19,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 194 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 39 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 85 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 41 percent from last year's November.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (55 nights).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kuopio on average 1.6 nights (+0.21) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.55).

Accommodation sales 1.9 million euro
Total accommodation sales in November were 1.9 million euro (-1.1 million). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 5.1 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 1.3 million euro (-1.1 million) and non-registered sales 95,800 euro (-31,400).
Total January-November sales were 28.1 million euro and they decreased 6.7 million euro from the previous year.
