In February 2020, 13,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Kymenlaakso (-6.9 %), of which 10,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased six percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased seven percent from last year's February.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (950 nights).
6,100 nights (-5.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,200 nights (-8.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 20,300 registered bed nights (-8.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,400 (-2.5 %) for foreigners in Kymenlaakso, in total 27,700 (-6.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Kymenlaakso, length of stay in February was on average 1.5 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+2.0 %).
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kymenlaakso on average 1.4 nights (-6.2 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-2.1 %).
9,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.4 percent were domestic, and 15.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kymenlaakso on average 1.4 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.14).
