10,400 registered bed nights
In November 2020, 10,400 bed nights were recorded in Kymenlaakso (-39.5 %), of which 9,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 32 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 66 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 40 percent from last year's November.
4,000 nights (-46.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,500 nights (-34.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 181,000 bed nights (-19.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,900 (-60.9 %) for foreigners in Kymenlaakso, in total 201,000 (-27.4 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

6,500 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 44 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kymenlaakso on average 1.5 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.5).

A total of 23,800 Russians arrived in Finland over the eastern border crossings.

There was a total of 670 visa applications to Finland made by the Russians. 45.1 percent were done at St. Petersburg's consulate.
Foreign visitors and their consumption
The number of foreign visitors in November was 6,700 (-81.6 %). Out of them 5,100 were on a daytrip and 1,600 stayed at least for one night.
The cumulative number of foreign visitors between January and November was 118,000 (-66.2 %).
Total consumption of these visitors in Kymenlaakso in November was 919,000 euro (138 per visitor). Overnight visitors spent 259,000 euro and day visitors 660,000 euro. Between January and November the consumption was 16.3 million euro.
