Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In May 2022, 15,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Laholm (+12.6 %), of which 13,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 690 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (600 nights).

1,400 rooms (+39.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 970 rooms (+90.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 27,000 registered bed nights (+0.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,100 (+645.2 %) for foreigners in Laholm, in total 30,100 (+10.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Laholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

7,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.5 percent were domestic, and 11.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Laholm on average 2.2 nights (-0.28) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.31).
