17,300 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 17,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Lahti Region (-56.2 %), of which 16,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 720 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 42 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 56 percent from last year's June.

11,200 nights (-40.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,100 nights (-70.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 74,400 registered bed nights (-46.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,200 (-61.7 %) for foreigners in Lahti Region, in total 90,600 (-49.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.5 percent

Total of 1.1 million registered bed nights (-50.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-36.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 50,900 nights (-91.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lahti Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.

9,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 53 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.6 percent were domestic, and 3.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lahti Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.51).

Registered accommodation sales in June were 767,000 euro (-1.4 million).

Registered January-June sales were 5.0 million euro and they decreased 4.9 million euro from the previous year.
