3,400 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 3,400 bed nights were recorded in Lahti Region (-86.6 %), of which 3,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 86 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 87 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Latvia (180 nights).

1,100 nights (-92.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,300 nights (-79.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 51,100 bed nights (-40.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,200 (-38.4 %) for foreigners in Lahti Region, in total 66,300 (-40.0 %) nights.

Market share 1.8 percent

Total of 190,000 bed nights (-88.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 173,000 nights (-85.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 16,800 nights (-95.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lahti Region out of total bed nights was 1.8 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.8 % and foreign bed nights 1.7 %.

1,500 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 89 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lahti Region on average 2.1 nights (+0.29) and foreigners 8.3 nights (+6.1).

Registered accommodation sales in April were 196,000 euro (-1.1 million).

Registered January-April sales were 3.9 million euro and they decreased 2.1 million euro from the previous year.
