14,500 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 14,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lahti (-37.5 %), of which 13,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 990 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 77 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 38 percent from last year's September.

5,400 nights (-36.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,100 nights (-38.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 94,900 registered bed nights (-42.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,300 (-70.2 %) for foreigners in Lahti, in total 112,000 (-49.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (-32.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-12.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 92,200 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lahti out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

8,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lahti on average 1.7 nights (+0.28) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+1.0).
