8,300 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Lahti (-70.9 %), of which 7,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 59 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 94 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 71 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (196 nights).

2,800 nights (-73.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,600 nights (-69.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 50,200 registered bed nights (-53.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,100 (-62.4 %) for foreigners in Lahti, in total 64,300 (-55.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.7 percent

Total of 1.1 million registered bed nights (-50.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-36.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 50,900 nights (-91.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lahti out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 66 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lahti on average 1.8 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.72).
