2,400 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 2,400 bed nights were recorded in Lahti (-88.5 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 88 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 92 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 89 percent from last year's April.

290 nights (-97.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,100 nights (-80.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 39,600 bed nights (-43.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,300 (-39.6 %) for foreigners in Lahti, in total 52,900 (-42.5 %) nights.

Total of 190,000 bed nights (-88.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 173,000 nights (-85.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 16,800 nights (-95.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lahti out of total bed nights was 1.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.7 %.

970 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 92 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.6 percent were domestic, and 3.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lahti on average 2.3 nights (+0.59) and foreigners 8.5 nights (+6.4).
