Total of 39,300 bed nights (+6.3 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Lahti in July 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 68 % and non-registered 32 %.
Between January and July, the number of paid bed nights was 216,000 (+16.5 %). Share of registered was 74 % and non-registered 26 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
26,900 registered bed nights
In July 2023, 26,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Lahti (-11.4 %), of which 24,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 11 percent from last year's July.
15,300 nights (-6.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 11,500 nights (-17.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 127,000 registered bed nights (-2.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 33,100 (+25.0 %) for foreigners in Lahti, in total 160,000 (+1.9 %) registered nights.

Paid bed nights forecast, Lahti
In August 2023, the number of bed nights in paid accommodation is expected to increase by 9.0 % compared to the previous year.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.4 percent were domestic, and 8.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lahti on average 1.9 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.64).

Total accommodation sales in July were 2.4 million euro (+627,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 39.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 1.5 million euro (-85,100) and non-registered sales 931,000 euro (+712,000).
Total January-July sales were 13.2 million euro and they increased 3.2 million euro from the previous year.
