Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In February 2022, 11,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Länsi-Uusimaa (+23.0 %), of which 10,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 480 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 72 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (200 nights).

8,500 nights (+18.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,800 nights (+38.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 17,300 registered bed nights (+2.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (+294.0 %) for foreigners in Länsi-Uusimaa, in total 19,800 (+13.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.8 percent

Total of 1.4 million registered bed nights (+56.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.0 million nights (+22.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 384,000 nights (+555.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Länsi-Uusimaa out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Länsi-Uusimaa, length of stay in February was on average 1.7 nights and in Finland 2.2 nights (-0.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Länsi-Uusimaa on average 1.6 nights (+6.7 %) and foreigners 3.6 nights (+334.7 %).

6,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.1 percent were domestic, and 1.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Länsi-Uusimaa on average 1.6 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 3.6 nights (+2.4).
