232,000 registered bed nights
In September 2022, 232,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lapland (-13.2 %), of which 205,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 27,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 30 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 13 percent from last year's September.
179,000 nights (-18.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 53,300 nights (+12.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 1.4 million registered bed nights (-4.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 854,000 (+686.9 %) for foreigners in Lapland, in total 2.2 million (+42.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lapland on average 2.3 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.13).
