In January 2022, 17,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Lappeenranta (+26.2 %), of which 17,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 530 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 104 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (112 nights).

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Lappeenranta, length of stay in January was on average 2.2 nights and in Finland 2.4 nights (+10.2 %).
