Registered bed nights increased three percent
In December 2019, 19,400 bed nights were recorded in Leksand (+3.5 %), of which 19,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 390 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased three percent and foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, bed nights increased three percent from last year's December.
9,500 rooms (+7.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (-23.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 325,000 bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,800 (+13.9 %) for foreigners in Leksand, in total 359,000 (+4.4 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

10,200 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.7 percent were domestic, and 2.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 1.9 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.15).

Registered January-December sales were 168.2 million SEK and they increased 21.0 million euro from the previous year.
