9,700 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 9,700 bed nights were recorded in Leksand (-36.9 %), of which 9,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 74 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 36 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 82 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 37 percent from last year's March.

5,200 rooms (-26.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (-52.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 40,800 bed nights (-13.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 890 (-37.4 %) for foreigners in Leksand, in total 41,700 (-14.1 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Leksand out of total bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

4,900 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 2.0 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.1).
