Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In September 2021, 21,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Leksand (+13.5 %), of which 20,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 710 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 195 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's September.

8,700 rooms (-4.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,400 rooms (+76.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 231,000 registered bed nights (+10.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,500 (+285.2 %) for foreigners in Leksand, in total 241,000 (+14.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Leksand out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

12,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.0 percent were domestic, and 3.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 1.8 nights (-0.24) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.42).
