Paid bed nights

11,300 registered bed nights

In February 2021, 11,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Leksand (-35.1 %), of which 11,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 153 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 34 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 65 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 35 percent from last year's February.

4,100 rooms (-32.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 290 rooms (-78.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 20,500 registered bed nights (-34.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 340 (-58.3 %) for foreigners in Leksand, in total 20,900 (-34.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (-40.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-30.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 220,000 nights (-76.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Leksand out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Leksand, length of stay in February was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 3.1 nights (+32.4 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 2.2 nights (+7.6 %) and foreigners 4.9 nights (+91.6 %).

5,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 39 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 2.2 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 4.9 nights (+1.4).
