Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 18 percent

In March 2021, 11,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Leksand (+18.4 %), of which 11,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 101 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 36 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 18 percent from last year's March.

4,000 rooms (+25.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 440 rooms (-52.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 31,900 registered bed nights (-21.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 440 (-50.4 %) for foreigners in Leksand, in total 32,300 (-22.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Leksand out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Leksand, length of stay in March was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 2.2 nights (+7.3 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+33.8 %).

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.1 percent were domestic, and 0.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 2.2 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-1.4).
