Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 102 percent

In April 2021, 9,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Leksand (+101.7 %), of which 9,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 105 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 101 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 192 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 102 percent from last year's April.

3,400 rooms (+164.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 410 rooms (+147.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 41,600 registered bed nights (-8.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 540 (-41.0 %) for foreigners in Leksand, in total 42,200 (-9.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 219,000 nights (+91.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Leksand out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 27 percent compared to earlier year. In Leksand, length of stay in April was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+1.3 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 2.1 nights (+2.9 %) and foreigners 5.2 nights (+34.4 %).

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 178 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.6 percent were domestic, and 0.4 percent were from foreign countries.
