Registered bed nights increased two percent

In September 2021, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (+1.6 %), of which 5,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's September.

1,700 rooms (-12.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+26.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 46,000 registered bed nights (+12.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,500 (+7.0 %) for foreigners in Lessebo, in total 52,500 (+11.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.2 percent were domestic, and 11.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.4 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.21).
