Registered bed nights increased 96 percent

In May 2022, 7,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (+95.7 %), of which 7,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 740 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 80 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 96 percent from last year's May.

2,200 rooms (+58.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+748.0 %) by business visitors.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 83 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.7 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.6).
