Paid bed nights

4,400 registered bed nights

In December 2017, 4,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (-1.7 %), of which 4,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 123 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 58 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (38 nights).

1,700 rooms (-0.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 730 rooms (-16.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 64,300 registered bed nights (+10.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,700 (-39.4 %) for foreigners in Lessebo, in total 74,000 (-0.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+5.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 763,000 nights (+6.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Lessebo, length of stay in December was on average 1.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+1.0 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.2 nights (-0.6 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-9.1 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.5 percent were domestic, and 2.5 percent were from foreign countries.
