Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In December 2019, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (+30.8 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 44 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's December.

2,000 rooms (+13.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 790 rooms (+109.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 63,000 registered bed nights (-4.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,300 (-7.7 %) for foreigners in Lessebo, in total 75,300 (-5.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Lessebo, length of stay in December was on average 1.4 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-2.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.3 nights (+4.7 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-8.5 %).

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 39 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.3 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.63).
