Paid bed nights

13,100 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 13,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (-14.2 %), of which 10,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 49 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (183 nights).

3,900 rooms (-0.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 197 rooms (-50.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 28,600 registered bed nights (-21.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,600 (-51.3 %) for foreigners in Lessebo, in total 32,300 (-26.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Lessebo, length of stay in July was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.5 nights (-8.1 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-10.2 %).

8,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.5 percent were domestic, and 15.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.5 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.42).
