Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In September 2020, 6,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (+30.8 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 77 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's September.

1,900 rooms (+15.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 980 rooms (-29.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 40,900 registered bed nights (-16.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,100 (-45.0 %) for foreigners in Lessebo, in total 46,900 (-21.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Lessebo, length of stay in September was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.4 nights (-6.2 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-10.0 %).

4,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 26 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.6 percent were domestic, and 13.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.4 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.21).
