Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 45 percent

In May 2021, 4,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lessebo (+44.7 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 56 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 52 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 45 percent from last year's May.

1,400 rooms (+15.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 184 rooms (+86.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 12,300 registered bed nights (-10.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 79 (-83.6 %) for foreigners in Lessebo, in total 12,400 (-12.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lessebo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Lessebo, length of stay in May was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.6 nights (+14.1 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+86.4 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lessebo on average 1.6 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.38).
