Registered bed nights increased 410 percent

In April 2021, 10,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+410.8 %), of which 8,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 330 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,900 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 410 percent from last year's April.

4,400 rooms (+951.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+164.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 36,600 registered bed nights (+40.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,100 (+358.8 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 41,600 (+53.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 320 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 2.9 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 12 nights (+9.6).
