Registered bed nights increased 97 percent

In May 2022, 24,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+96.6 %), of which 23,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 116 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 97 percent from last year's May.

6,400 rooms (+20.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 11,900 rooms (+282.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 78,100 registered bed nights (+65.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,800 (-45.3 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 81,900 (+51.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

17,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 320 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.4 nights (-1.4) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-5.4).
