Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In September 2019, 18,100 bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+8.8 %), of which 16,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased eight percent and foreign bed nights increased 27 percent. In total, bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.

2,400 rooms (+118.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 11,500 rooms (-4.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 107,000 bed nights (-2.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,200 (+7.1 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 122,000 (-1.5 %) nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

11,000 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.6 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.23).
