Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In June 2019, 14,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+8.2 %), of which 12,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 15 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (300 nights).

2,500 rooms (+87.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,400 rooms (-6.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 67,100 registered bed nights (-5.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,800 (+37.2 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 75,000 (-2.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidingö, length of stay in June was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 2.0 nights (-2.3 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+2.9 %).

6,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.6 percent were domestic, and 12.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 2.0 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.45).
