Paid bed nights

17,900 registered bed nights

In August 2019, 17,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (-2.0 %), of which 15,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased five percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (330 nights).

3,600 rooms (+63.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,500 rooms (-26.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 90,500 registered bed nights (-4.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,900 (+5.5 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 103,000 (-3.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.9 million registered bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+4.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidingö, length of stay in August was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 2.0 nights (-0.2 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-5.5 %).

8,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.6 percent were domestic, and 10.4 percent were from foreign countries.
