Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 73 percent

In March 2021, 10,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+73.5 %), of which 9,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 360 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 73 percent from last year's March.

6,000 rooms (+761.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (-43.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 28,300 registered bed nights (+17.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,900 (+186.9 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 31,200 (+23.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 1.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 36 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidingö, length of stay in March was on average 1.2 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.2 nights (-28.6 %) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+123.2 %).

8,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 172 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.6 percent were domestic, and 2.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.2 nights (-0.77) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+1.9).
