Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 270 percent

In May 2021, 12,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+266.3 %), of which 10,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 240 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 660 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 270 percent from last year's May.

7,200 rooms (+634.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+105.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 47,200 registered bed nights (+61.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,900 (+412.3 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 54,100 (+76.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 1.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 49 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidingö, length of stay in May was on average 1.2 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.1 nights (-37.4 %) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+79.8 %).

10,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 610 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.6 percent were domestic, and 5.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.1 nights (-1.3) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.1).
