Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 75 percent

In June 2022, 23,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidingö (+75.4 %), of which 20,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 77 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 64 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 75 percent from last year's June.

7,700 rooms (+9.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,300 rooms (+108.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 98,500 registered bed nights (+67.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,400 (-24.6 %) for foreigners in Lidingö, in total 105,000 (+56.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidingö out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 27 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 27 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidingö, length of stay in June was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.5 nights (+19.5 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-47.4 %).

15,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.2 percent were domestic, and 9.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidingö on average 1.5 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-1.1).
