Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In May 2022, 23,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidköping (+12.9 %), of which 20,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 420 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's May.

2,500 rooms (+47.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,500 rooms (+67.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 58,000 registered bed nights (+16.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (+325.0 %) for foreigners in Lidköping, in total 64,300 (+25.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

10,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.5 percent were domestic, and 10.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 2.2 nights (-0.43) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.31).
