Registered bed nights increased one percent

In August 2022, 40,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidköping (+1.4 %), of which 33,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 82 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,600 nights).

3,200 rooms (-6.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+28.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 173,000 registered bed nights (+0.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 37,600 (+264.1 %) for foreigners in Lidköping, in total 211,000 (+15.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.8 million registered bed nights (+5.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.5 million nights (-4.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.3 million nights (+44.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

17,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.9 percent were domestic, and 18.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 2.3 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.33).
