Paid bed nights

33,500 registered bed nights

In August 2020, 33,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidköping (-8.1 %), of which 32,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 980 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 85 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's August.

2,300 rooms (-26.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (-28.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 155,000 registered bed nights (-2.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,300 (-85.7 %) for foreigners in Lidköping, in total 160,000 (-18.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.1 million registered bed nights (-31.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 615,000 nights (-77.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Lidköping, length of stay in August was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 2.5 nights (+6.1 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-16.7 %).

13,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.3 percent were domestic, and 3.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 2.5 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.63).
