Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In September 2020, 14,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidköping (+13.9 %), of which 13,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 55 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's September.

1,400 rooms (-19.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (-31.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 169,000 registered bed nights (-0.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,100 (-84.2 %) for foreigners in Lidköping, in total 175,000 (-16.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 36 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidköping, length of stay in September was on average 5.6 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 5.6 nights (+8.2 %) and foreigners 5.4 nights (-11.9 %).

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 5.6 nights (+1.6) and foreigners 5.4 nights (+0.47).
