Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 46 percent

In December 2021, 5,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Lidköping (+45.9 %), of which 5,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 340 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 45 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 68 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (58 nights).

930 rooms (+192.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+149.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 214,000 registered bed nights (+14.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,800 (+103.3 %) for foreigners in Lidköping, in total 228,000 (+17.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lidköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 3.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 57 percent compared to earlier year. In Lidköping, length of stay in December was on average 3.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-24.9 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lidköping on average 3.2 nights (-2.7 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-10.5 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 240 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.1 percent were domestic, and 6.9 percent were from foreign countries.
