46,200 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 46,200 bed nights (+1.2 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Lieksa in July 2021. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 66 % and non-registered 34 %.
Between January and July, the number of paid bed nights was 162,000 (+3.5 %). Share of registered was 51 % and non-registered 49 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased 20 percent
In July 2021, 30,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Lieksa (+20.2 %), of which 29,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 620 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's July.
29,200 nights (+19.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (+36.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 80,600 registered bed nights (+51.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (-54.4 %) for foreigners in Lieksa, in total 82,100 (+45.2 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.1 percent were domestic, and 1.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lieksa on average 2.7 nights (+0.87) and foreigners 3.0 nights (-2.2).

Accommodation sales 2.3 million euro
Total accommodation sales in July were 2.3 million euro (+495,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 21.5 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 1.8 million euro (+669,000) and non-registered sales 487,000 euro (-174,000).
Total January-July sales were 7.0 million euro and they increased 47,300 euro from the previous year.
