Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 400 percent

In April 2021, 32,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Lillehammer Region (+401.6 %), of which 31,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 880 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 510 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 32 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 400 percent from last year's April.

9,600 nights (+1,460.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,100 nights (+147.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 154,000 registered bed nights (+45.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,500 (-91.2 %) for foreigners in Lillehammer Region, in total 158,000 (+1.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.6 percent

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lillehammer Region out of total registered bed nights was 3.6 % (+1.7 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

Length of stay was 3.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Lillehammer Region, length of stay in April was on average 3.1 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lillehammer Region on average 3.1 nights (+27.5 %) and foreigners 5.2 nights (+39.1 %).

10,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 420 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.4 percent were domestic, and 1.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lillehammer Region on average 3.1 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 5.2 nights (-0.58).
