Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 122 percent

In October 2021, 59,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lillehammer Region (+122.0 %), of which 56,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 116 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 122 percent from last year's October.

24,300 nights (+38.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,700 nights (+52.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 772,000 registered bed nights (+102.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,400 (-44.8 %) for foreigners in Lillehammer Region, in total 807,000 (+81.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.5 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+57.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (+50.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 306,000 nights (+120.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lillehammer Region out of total registered bed nights was 2.5 % (+0.7 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.7 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Lillehammer Region, length of stay in October was on average 1.9 nights and in Norway 1.9 nights (-5.9 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lillehammer Region on average 1.9 nights (-4.4 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-35.7 %).

31,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 123 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lillehammer Region on average 1.9 nights (0.0) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-1.2).
