Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In December 2019, 4,200 bed nights were recorded in Lindesberg (+10.4 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 210 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's December.

320 rooms (+62.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 680 rooms (-1.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 95,500 bed nights (+8.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,500 (+1.6 %) for foreigners in Lindesberg, in total 111,000 (+7.7 %) nights.

Total of 3.5 million bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lindesberg out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.3 percent were domestic, and 3.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lindesberg on average 2.6 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-1.2).
